Maxtor 7270 HDD on Win95(AMD K6)

Help, I have 2.7 GB Maxtor 7270av on Win95(32 bit mode) and it only shows up as 200mb total capacity. It is primary master drive.:confused::confused:

Any help will be great.
 
Your using older hardware that may not be able to "see" the full capacity of the hard drive. Check your BIOS.
 
I know there was a limitation with around 504MB or so, but I don't recall 200MB. Are you sure it's not a partitioning problem or something? By the K6 era, most all those computers could accept "GIG" range without a problem. I should know, my first "new" computer way back when was an AMD K6-2 333MHz with a whopping 3.2GB HD, later upgraded to a 40GB.
