Maybe an OS problem? Help?!

Hey guys, I was wondering if I am able to get full 4.00 GB ram on my system. (in my sig) I've been running 64 bit Windows 7 Ultimate, but anything I do its always 3.5 usable.

My Windows index is 5.0
CPU: 5
RAM: 5
Graphics: 6.9
Gaming Graphics: 6.9
Primary Hard disk 5.7

On my computer specs from HP, the specs said I can use up to 4GB, 1 GB per slot

maybe you have 512MB shared with your video card? Check your bios to see if that is true.

If you have a shared video card then it IS possible that the video card is being shared with RAM.
But if you have separate REAL video card and not the shared one,in that case do not worry about the RAM memory.You DO have 4.00 GB of RAM,but Windows usually reports 3.5,but don't worry.If you will ever run anything that requires 4.00 GB of RAM,in that case Windows WILL use ALL 4.00 GB of RAM memory even if it shows 3.5 GB of RAM.
The same thing is with 32-bit and 64-bit Windows operating systems.
