Maybe an upgrade?

You can see my current system in my sig. I was thinking of an upgrade to P55. I know that i3 are coming out soon and they are replacement for E7xxx but what I was thinking is to get P55, 4GB of DDR3, i3, dunno about the number, maybe GTX260, 650W Corsair and start off my jurney with iX's. I would obv upgrade to i7 when I save up some money. Is it a good idea?

It sounds good but i'd wait for the i3 to be released and compared against the i5's, c2q's and phenoms before i'f buy one.

The cheapest i3 is supposed to be like 119 dollars, which is about price of E7xxx juts now, I am not expecting mind blowing performance but it should be better at OC and generally faster then my E5200

I would not consider a Clarkdale CPU to be an "upgrade" from your current CPU.

You'll still likely need to upgrade your motherboard, so I'd go with Lynnfield at least.
