yes, it will work. May I ask where you are getting this from. Also, you can get a better hard drive than that and I don't really recommend those speakers. What is your budget?

Should be around 3000$ CAN, and I got those names from TigerDirect.

What speakers and harddrive would you suggest?

well i dont know...i think 160gb hard drive would be good enough..and even if he does run out (eventually), he can just get another one...id be fine if i only had 80gb probly

Everything looks good- except the response time on that monitor, im not sure you want to ruin your expereince with a slow RT. Not a biggie, jw.

I have that mobo.. its really good, great heat dissipation. I would get a WD raptor 10,000rpm, since you are already spending a fair bit.. u want the hard drive to keep up with the rest of the system:-) maybe even 2 of them in raid 0..
74GB: h**p://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822144160
150GB: h**p://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822136012

As for speakers i have no idea.. im sure someone else would have more of an idea.

@Jesse: why did you star out the "http"?
Oh i never even realised i was doing it.. on previous forums i have been on, it was in the rules to not post live links and starring out the http was a good quick way to do this.. i guess its just habit lol. And im new to this forum so i must of thought just to be on the safe side i wont post live links, didnt even think about it really.. So live links are no issue then?

My friend suggested that I should get 2 7900GTs instead of the GTX. Wise idea?

SLI seems to be much better at higher resolutions so if your still wanting a 20" monitor with a resolution such as you listed beofre:

MONITOR - A179-AL2021 CA :: Acer AL2021 / 20" / 16ms / UXGA / 1600x1200 / Black / DVI / LCD Monitor with Speakers (30 lbs)

Then i think that would be a better option, if you opt for a smaller monitor or something with a max res of 1024x1280 then i think the GTX would be better :-)

that 7900gtx will play ANYTHING, believe me...:D

That's what I thought and still think, I read somewhere that some guys were complaining that it gets choppy in some games at certain settings. ???? :confused: ???? How is that possible?

This could be a bottle-neck somewhere else in the person that was complaining's computer.. like not enough ram, processor or hard drive that cant keep up.. maybe even an overheating problem.
