I have a Dell Inspiron 1720 laptop which has 2 HDD's. The first contains Vista OS whilst the second seems to contain the MBR, another Vista OS and some Dell software. The second HDD only seems to get recognised occasionally but is included in the boot selection. I want to remove the second HDD so can I simply take it out and 'update MBR' on the first HDD using my Paragon HDD Manager (not necessarily in that order)!! Will my Dell Recovery Disc still work without that second HDD in situ (I was not supplied with a MS disc containing Vista)? If not how can I overcome that problem if I need to re-install the OS?
