Mcafee Crash after the fact

Recently I un intentionally ran the Mcaffee Update, just after hearing about their problems..
resulting in the continuous loop/crash, from blue screen to boot screen.

Has anyone been able to recover from this condition?.

I know there are patches, but what do you do once its crashed your
systems. and your caught in the loop? F8 doesn't help.

I have removed the drive and was able access the permitted files externally
but I have no way of disabling the culprit, how do I access the user file
from the CMD DOS screen?

I put the drive back in the laptop. and am back to the loop...

any suggestions?

It seems its just a matter of copying an unaffected copy of svchost from a different computer using a usb flash drive or cd and copying to the affected computer.

If you have your windows cd you could run a repair install which will replace any missing files or registry entries.
