Somthing has happended to my Mcafee protection. It was working fine but now during the virus scan it shuts off my computer. If I try a manual scan it also shuts off my computer. I contacted their tec support but they say it is not a mcafee problem. I am using Windows XP sp2. Computer only shuts off durning a virus scan. Does any one have any suggestions? I still have about 6 months with this Mcafee install. Also my computer seems to be running much slower than usual. Thanks for any advisce.

I like McAfee never get Trend Micro though.
Anyways to answer your problem, I think the problem that you might be having is that you don't have enough RAM to support it, as in, you have to many processes running from installin programs and what not. You should change what you want to startup with your pc and if not then im not sure what your problem might be with McAfee.
