i read the thread bout it crashing alot....?
and well iam getting well have my eye on a dell laptop 17'' WS with MCE as the os i want to multimedia on it so not heavy gaming but some... and it will only be in use when not at the desktop so .... i like the feature of storing music, movies, tv shows, exc off tv to laptop

I havent heard of that, MCE is basically a cut down version of XP Pro, with a few added multimedia utilities. I'm using it right now, and have been for quite a while, and I havent had any crashes that I havent had with XP Home/Pro.

As far as the crashes, it may of just been a specific problem that user was having such as hardware or software. MCE is quite good in my opions since I don't game ever on my PC or Laptop, MCE runs quite efficiently and meet all my expectations. I'd say go for it for all those added features are a nice added bonus.

same here, no problems with it at all, although ive heard some people on here complain about it. I would take the mce
