ME to 2000

just got my 2000 cd today, and am upgrading all my older windows, problem is i want 2 upgrade my laptop 2 windows 2000 also, how would i format without being in windows? i only know how 2 do the right click on the HDin my computer and click format, do i have 2 download a program? any help? thank you very much.

when you put in the 2000 disc it should format the drive for you before it installs

Yeah it should do everything automaticly as long as your upgrading from a lower version

i put the CD in and i get press any key to boot from the CD, i press a key didnt work, and i tryed another key, didnt work.

try a different keyboard, i had problems with my keyboard with my new comp so i had to use a different one

ok, now i gotta another problem, i get a messgae, saying that i have 2 change the file system type or something like that? i tryed FAT32, and NTFS, but still the same message?
