ME to XP upgrade problems

Hi,
I'm new here and I'm wondering if anyone could help. I just did an upgrade from XP CD from ME. It now locks up after I try to install my new printer. People say I should of did a fresh/clean install of XP. I did not. It said recommended upgrade on start up of XP. What next?

Backup anything you want to keep and do a fresh install. it's always better to do a fresh install of an OS anyway.

So do you successfully install the printer or no? What printer is it? With some printers, you may have to install the drivers first without the printer attatched and then reboot with the printer attatched and it will then be installed.

upgrade Me to Xp is not a good choice. More over me is a bad Os lol

you may store all you want keep : photos, music or movies

after you boot on xp cd and format ur C: and do a fresh install !!!!

If I was you I would buy a new hard drive if your current one has had ME on it.

Point taken but if you (by some chance) mean that litterally ... that's takin it a bit far :p

Because to discard a harddrive just because WindowsME was installed is a waste of a harddrive. :)
