Hi Guys,
Some family members are fed up with an old, slow laptop they've had for ages, and looking to upgrade. Being a 'tech head' myself, i offered to build them a new system, as it would be much cheaper for them, and i'd gain the experience.
It will be my first from new build, but i'm fairly happy with building, as i've 'rebuilt' loads of desktops before.
The budgets about £500 tops. The design specification is a general 'home' computer, but they have a high quality camcorder, and would like to do some basic editing, and viewing, as well as digital images. They want to run it through their LCD HD T.V.
So i was looking for some buying guides really.
I personally thought one of those multimedia cases, a fairly handy 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo, 2 Gigs of R.A.M., 500GB HDD, Basic graphics card, and a half decent motherboard.
What buying tips, product recommendations could you guys give me?
Cheers,
