Media files playing in slowmotion

I recently installed a few codec packs (directshow ogg vorbis filter, ffdshow, Matroska Pack), and now a lot of media plays in slowmotion. This applies to both media on my hd and to yahoo radio. I don't like this. What to do, except uninstall codecs? (I need them for watching ogm files)

when you install codec packs, you need to know exactly what your installing otherwise alot of things will cancel each other out, flip the screen upside down or,as in your case, play things in slow mo. the best thing to do would be to download G-Spot find out what codecs are needed and install them one at a time.

fairly doubtful that they will 'cancel out' or turn screens upside down.

Installing plenty of codecs however makes the player have to load a lot more plugins, eg. it could load three when it just uses one. therefore, each extra plugin you have will take up memory and slow down your player. download and use just what you need.

trust me it can flip the creen upside down. and i didnt mean cancel them out, i cant think of a way of describing it, more like some of them clash?

Thing is, when I try to watch the video files in winamp, they work great. Doesn't Winamp use the same codecs?
And no, don't really want to use Winamp to watch video.
