Media Player

I have a current dell laptop that has a dhmi out to my flat screen and is running Windows 7, but can not find a really great media player to install. I tried GOM player and its ok but there are margins at the edge of the picture that can not be configured out. Media player has the menu at the bottom and you can not get rid of it. Not like the older version. Any suggestions are very welcome.
 
Try VLC media Player.

I had a similar problem with a HD TV.

It was really related to the Computer not offering a resolution that was quite right for the TV. The Video Card did have a option in Display Properties to customize the Resolution. Then had to set the TV Format Button to "Full".
 
Tried but failed. I couldnt find a version that will install correctly on windows 7. It bombs about 2/3 the way thru the install with an error that shows code. ???
 
I tried an install agin this morning and it completed perfect and VLC was a good choice. It works perfect and is configurable. Thanks so much for the suggestion.
