media remote control

i want to buy a remote control for my PC that will alow me to control my media players, for watching DVD's, playing music etc.

please post your thoughts on which is the best option for me to get (value for money is what i'm after, there is no money tree at the bottom of my garden unfortunately!)

You might want to look into the "Remote Wonder" series from ATi, good remotes, and a lot of 3rd part apps to make them do other things

Yeh, i dont have one, two of my mates do though, you can control alot of other things, not jsut media applications... its like an all in one control for everything

I've been using my Sony Ericsson K800i's Remote control feature with a Bluetooth Dongle for now, but its not that flexible

lol i have been doing the exact same thing with my k800i and it is really isnt that flexible at all, and very fiddly to use the little joystick as a mouse

there's a program that runs in the background, and lets you customize any remote control

you can even have different sets of control customizations depending on what program you're currently using.

i'll try and find it

Sounds good, that remote looks cool i think i may invest in one for when i plug my PC into the 42"
