when i first installed the HD6970 the pc was working fine. then after a week or so everytime i boot up my pc it comes up with a blue screen with a error refrerring to atikmpag.sys the system then reboots and works completley fine..it only ever seems to happen whenever i turn the pc on after it has been off for a long period of times like 8 hours or so.. if i reset it when it is already just been on it works fine. i have tried so many things to fix this, i have reinstalled windows twice i have updated drivers, did registry cleans etc. please please help me out this problem is making me go mad. thanks in advance

I have a feeling that the gtx 750 is the PSU which I'm thinking is a Corsair 750tx. The highest video card Nvidia has is a GTX 580.

I just think he got the numbers mixed up.

unfortunatley no i dont. i built this computer with all brand new parts about 2 weeks ago. and only had laptops in past..this is the only problem i seem to be having, i have also google searched the errror and tried many things..one person said it could possibly be my ram..is ther any way of testing my ram for faults?

Yes there is a way to test your ram. Download a program called memtest+, don't remember the version. You need to make it a bootable cd. You should let it run at least an hour or until it passes.

If it does come back with errors, it could be just one stick that is bad. You would take a stick out and test again.
