hi everyone
could someone please help....... a friends computer wont boot up...... it keeps showing mem error.......i think it may be because the temp files have never been cleared........he doesnt have a startup or rescue disc....i have tried mine but it gets half way and hangs.... ive done all the usual f keys but no good......... heres hoping.......thanx

it says serious error system 32 and memory error...... hard disc........as it wont boot up he cant remember the exact error he has windows xp.... he is polish so he runs it in that language....... the error messages come up in english.......he has skype installed

As suggested above, trying to run memtest for a few passes is probably a good start. It's probably a RAM problem becuase your rescue disk doesn't boot either.
 
The system POSTs? Memtest doesn't have to run from windows, it has it's own bootable CD which should boot up even if you have memory errors.
