Memory Amount Needed

I was wondering if it is worth putting 4Gb instead of 2Gb into the motherboard?? I am building a new rig and mostly using it for gaming and some multimedia stuff.

2gb would be fine but if you can afford it get 4gb

can all computers utilize all 4 gigs? like will windows use whatever you throw at it?

First off lets make sure wer'e talking about RAM, I haven't seen that word in this whole thread. Second no it isnt worth it, because unless you're running really, really serious editing you dont need it. Also you will have to run high latencys at the 2t comand rate to get them up to full speed so for you it will be a disadvantage.
