Memory Error With New Build

Specs: MOBO - Biostar TP43D2-A7
RAM - Kingston DDR2 533mhz PC2-4200
(I am trying to use 4 of these equaling 4GBs)

According to the details in the MOBO pamphlet the motherboard's standard RAM is DDR2 1066. To my knowledge, going under the recommended speed does not matter. The MOBO lights, according to the pamphlet, read there is a memory error. I have tried using all 4 sticks of ram, 2 sticks in A1/B1, 2 sticks in A2/B2, and one stick in A1.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem may be?

The memory at the link there is 533 while you need to move up into a faster memory that will run on the board. Just remember that PC2-5300 DDR2 667, PC2-6400 DDR2 800, and PC2-8500 DDR2 1066 are readliy supported.

For a 2gb kit of standard DDR2 1066 PC2-8500 memory you can still go for the Kingston brand. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820134655

The next speed of memory up of the same type will simply backclock to that speed whether it is mixed or run by itself being over what the board supports. You can still find some deals on Kingston memory and hopefully still return the memory you bought as credit.
