Memory help please

Hi I'm what you consider a man of limited computer knowledge.I have cleaned my comp with all the various cleaner i.e. ccleaner,adware,spybot s/d,and used the tune up utilities and my comp is still slow
Comp is Compaq presarrio model SR1130NX
RAM=512 mb,pc2700 DDR SDRAM
160GB 7200RPM ULTRA DMA H/DRIVE
DVD+RW/CD-RW-CD ROM DRIVE-48XMAX SPEED
PROCESSOR SPEED=2.10GHZ
L2 CACHE
400 MHZ FRONT SIDEBUS
What brand and size of ram do you recommend

thanks whats the best brand and how much more should I get, is the pc 3200 same as pc 2700

No pc3200 is faster and according to your motherboard specs will work. I recommend getting the memory I linked you to. 2gb is the max for your system.
