My motherboard can take 800 MHz DDR2. and this is what I have installed.

Now I know they call it Double Data Rate because on every Clycle on the Up and Down side it can send and receave Data.

Now it is 64 Bit so ever Cycle it sends and receavse Data I get this.

So it says it is 800 MHz so am I right that ever Cycle of that 800 MHz it is rending and receaving Data??

DDR means it can pass Data on the rise and fall of a clock cycle.

Then every one Cycle it sends and gets Data

Well it depends on what you mean by 800. If its DDR 800, it really runs at 400mhz. If its DDR3 1600, it runs at 800mhz.

And I got 800 MHz DDR2

Well if it says DDR2 800 on the memory, your memory is running at 400mhz. Since its DDR ( Dual Data Rate), like you say it can send or receive data twice on a clock cycle. Its (effective) speed is 800mhz.

DDR = Double Data Rate. therefore DDR2 800mhz runs at a real clock rate of 400mhz, doubled because it is DDR. This applies for DDR/DDR2/DDR3 and GDDR3/4/5 as well i think (GDDR may be different)
