I dont know if this is the right place to ask this but i didnt get a solution in the virus section so here goes.

Some guy told me that a virus can store itself in the Memory... i have formatted my Harddrives several times, used clean Windows discs and everything so i think the virus must be in the memory. Any ideas on how to get rid of it? I got an explanation from some guy but as it was not in my native language i didnt really get what he meant...

no, ram or memory is temporary storage, viruses can not be stored permanantly on volatile memory, hence the name.

anyway i think you need to run an antivirus program and antispyware program, but i think you have got rid of the virus now.

Dave is right there, but a virus can infect your BIOS *ROM* chip on the motherboard. To fix this you would need to flash or reset the BIOS. Contact your manufacturer for more information.

If it were in the BIOS the comp wouldnt prolly start at all so... anyways got rid of it in an unexpected way :D

Ok, thats good. ut to correct you, no, the PC would get to a certain point and then stop, it just depends how bad the virus is and what the virus is doing, it might just be scrambling input messages from the PS/2 ports or it could have completely wiped your BIOS chip.
