Recently I bought a lenovo PC. In the ShipGroup Contents there was an item called '256MB MEMORY KEY'. I have no idea what it is.

What is a memory key?
What use do I have of it in my computer?

You could consider as the same thing as the old floppy disk. Its newer technology which enables you to store considerably more data on a media that is less likely to fail as it is flash based. It connects to computers throughout the USB ports.

How do I use it?

There is a 17 places alpha-numerical word written in front of '256MB MEMORY KEY'. Does that give any clue??

Well, you just have to plug your key into a USB port. In case you don't see anything that could go in, you probably either have to remove a cap or press on a button to release the "male" side of the key that will go into that slot.

Then, the computer will recognize the key has been put it and will display it as a removeable media, it will show after your Hard drive and cd/dvd player as a letter, u can also name it.
