Hello,

I used PC wizard 2004 and i was wondering, I bought 512 MB DDR RAM PC3200 and my pc shows at boot time that my DDR frequency is 333mhz, and PC wizard 2004 program shows two kind of information DDR-SDRAM PC2700 and DDR-SDRAM PC3200 (200 MHz)
I tought that PC3200 is 400mhz is this information correct or have i bought wrong chipset?

Cycle Time (tRAS) : 7 clocks @166 MHz, 8 clocks @200 MHz

2 causes that I know of:

1. Your mobo doesn't support ddr400

2. it is an oem machine and if both slots are filled, it will run slower

PC3200 is 400MHz effectively but actually runs at 200MHz and is doubled. The as Bobo said, the chipset on your motherboard probably doesn't support PC3200

. it is an oem machine and if both slots are filled, it will run slower
This "maxed slots = slower memory" typically only applies to 3+ slots, OEM or otherwise :)
