Quick Q: What does newegg meen when they say 512mb(256mb onboard)? how do you get the other 256mb?

The other memory is "shared" from the system RAM. Say you have only one 512 MB stick of RAM in your system. it will take 256 MB of that 512 MB stick and use it so you have a total of 512 MB video RAM. It doesn't work wery well. You see a better performance with more on-board RAM on the GPU.
