Memory Question

how do i lower the frequency of my memory so i can overclock my cpu more.. the cpu can go higher but...its putting the ram over the limit..In my bios it shows where i can lower it but its dimmed out i guess its locked... is there a way i can unlock it or is there a program that just works on the RAM frequency and not both the cpu and ram.. can i flash my bios or is it to risky?

My specs are "not great but has to do for now"

CPU: AMD Athlon XP 3200+
RAM: 768 regular Kingston
Video: Radeon 9600XT

well you dont directly assign the ram speed, you just set up a ratio between the core clock and the ram speed. it is explained in oc101. Specifically in

in that ariticle if the author was to even bother to show a screen shot of him altering the dram frequency you would see is the box change from auto to something like 5:3 of some other dram cpu ratio
