I currently have 2 512mb sticks of Corsair XMS pc3200 running in dual channel. Would they still be better than 2 1gig sticks of OCZ 2-3-2-5 Titaniums that arnt set up in dual channel? My friend is going to upgrade his pc to dual channel and is willing to sell them to me for cheap. Im just not so sure it would be worth it.

I would only go with the 2x 1GB is you need more ram, and if you have XMS CL3 or CL 2.5 RAM.

Both are cl2. Im just not sure which one will perform better. For the cost would is be in my best interest to buy 2 more sticks of corsair for a total of 4 running in dual channel?

Why can't you run the OCZ sticks in dual channel mode as well (assuming both sticks are the same). Your friend probably can't use them in dual channel because he has a socket 754 Athlon 64 system, which doesn't support dual channel. Perhaps i'm missing something here, but unless your friend is upgrading to DDR2 RAM, he'd probably be better off to keep the OCZ Titanium - it's excellent RAM.

If you feel you need 2GB of RAM, another 2 sticks of Corsair XMS may be better value, unless you can find someone to buy your existing RAM. It's difficult to advise either way unless we know how much you would pay for the OCZ sticks.

exactly. the main determining factor in this would be the price, imo. its alwwwaaayyyss about the money.
