memory upgrade on my toshiba equium laptop. please help!

hi, first post here. i was wanting to upgrade my toshiba equium m50-216 memory from 512mb, to atleast 1.5gb, possibly 2gb. anyway im not totally sure what memory upgrades will work with my laptop. from a website which lists the exact spec of the laptop it says that it is DDM ram, type 2. so therefore i was wondering if this type of upgrade woul be compatible with my laptop. http://www.memorybits.co.uk/shop/co...-800mhz--pc25300-cl5-nonecc-kvr800d2n51g/5486
i have used crucial.com, but the proposed upgrades are really expensive there. any help much appreaciated.

also is there anything else i can do to improve the performance of my laptop??

here you go: http://uk.computers.toshiba-europe.....do?PRODUCT_ID=113323&DISC_MODEL=1&service=UK IT clearly states ur laptop takes ddr ram and can hold upto 2GB. hope that helps. the ram you posted will not work since it is ddr2.
 
thanks, but i am already aware the maximum ram i can use is 2gb.

go and search for it online, i remember i use to know a website that will check your computer and give you the list of upgradable thing.
