Memory upgrade

Im looking to upgrade my pc memory by adding a stick of 1024 to the exsisting 512mb thats in there already.

Ive looked at the motherboard spec that came with the machine and for memory it says 3 DDR Dimm slots DDR1, DDR2, DDR3 pc1600 (ddr200) /pc2100(ddr266) max 3gb
Pc2700 (ddr333) for 2 ddr dim slots max 2gb, pc3200 (ddr400) for 1 ddr dim slot, max 1gb.

Not sure what speed the 512mb ddr is running at.

go to bios itll tell you, also may i suggest adding 2 512 sticks, it seems to be a better configuration than a one gig card...

I'm not sure what your question is, You can stick a 1024MB stick in there becasue you have 3 RAM slots, It just has to be PC2700 RAM I think... Take the 512MB one out and see what type of RAM it is, see if it's PC2700...

Just checked in bios to see what it is and at what speed and it is 512mb/166mhz (DDR333) IN SLOT 3

You should be able to buy another stick of DDR333 and put that in then...

Would i have to opt for low density or could i get away with high density
