memory usage always high

Been noticing the laptop memory in task manager is always hitting the 840 mbs ... not to sure what could be causing thus ... need help and input please, thanks

Vista 32 bit and 1gig of ram... I am going to format hd when I get a copy to re install os

What version of Vista are you running? Home basic or home premium? Basic usually comes with 1gb, if running home premium, then you should have at least 3gb of memory installed. Until you can upgrade memory, you need to stop programs from running at bootup that you don't use.

Thank you for the reply.. Sorry about the delay... Running 32bit OS... This laptop only has max 2gigs that it can support and currently only has 1gig installed... I am going to stop other programs... :good:
 
You will want to upgrade from Vista to Windows 7 because 7 using much less RAM than Vista. I know Vista do used a lot of RAM than program you current running. Also given us your laptop or model code please.

I am sure it will... This is my sisters laptop... not even sure if she is wanting to invest in it at the moment so she is not using it... however, I may just invest in it :D

Most def plan on upgrading to the windows 7
