Memory Usage on first boot.

My computer runs slow everytime i boot it the first time everyday. I check my widget that shows the memory usage, and usually it's at 20-25%, but on the first boots it reaches 30-40%. When i reboot, everything is back to normal. During the first boot, my applications load slower than usual especially games. Why is that? Any way to fix this problem?

Have you tried this:

Click on start
Click on Run...
Type in MSCONFIG.exe
Go to the Start tab
Uncheck all the applications you don't want starting when initializing Windows
After doing this restart your computer.
It should boot up much faster after you do this.

yup. i've been doing that since i had crap a P3 800mhz, 128mb RAM, 9GB HDD rig. lol!

it's just weird that my comp is slow during first boot. reboot it, then it's fine.

No idea, but your motherboard is a Foxcord? I don't think that exists. Maybe you mean foxconn?

AVG is quite the resource hog. I use it but I activate the scan when I want to use it and I don't let it do automatic scheduled scans.

mine scans everyday. it gets annoying. for instance, i'm playing a game and once the scan is complete, my computer goes to the desktop and then the AVG scanning success window pops up. i haven't figured out how to disable the regular scanning. i'll do it mandatory once a week if ever i find out how to disable it.
