i don't think it will work. i recommend buying some twin RAM 3200 and if your motherboard supports it get dual channel. this is more efficient and stable.

ya it might work but It might also not work :-).. basicly a chance your taken but Y? are you overclocking? what is the FSB of your CPU?

Then it runs at PC3200 until you OC it to PC4000

Man you managed to get DDR2 to work on a DDR motherboard -- getting PC4000 shouldnt be that hard.

Uh.... I don't know my CPU's FSB... How to find out? I think its 133 Mhz.

Your FSB is 200Mhz but with quad-pumping the BUS speed is 800MHz. Your CPU runs 2.40GHZ sooooo:
FSB = 200MHz
BUS = 800MHz
MULTIPLIER = 12.0x
CPU = 2400MHz
MEMORY (default) = 400MHz (200MHz from your FSB, throw in the DDR)

Now to OC to PC4000 (250MHz) then you need to ramp the FSB speed to 250MHz. Now you might have to do some trickery if your CPU doesnt like it (i.e, by reducing the multiplier etc)
 
Ok, I download the Intel Processor Frequency ID utility, and it told me I had a 2.63 Ghz Processor and 879 Mhz bus (after overclock), and a 2.4 Ghz with 800 Mhz bus (before overclock).

:confused: What is difference between FSB and bus??

So my FSB currently is 2630 Mhz/12=220Mhz

The FSB is what you multiply the "multiplier" by to get the final processor speed. The BUS speed is the speed between various devices on the mobo :)
