how would u do the go into host file, what even is it?
what would that do, i know not to do it, but just curious
how do you set the password, i have a linksys wireless router, and how do you block out all ports exept 80 (and what would doing that do?)??

DIfferent programs will use different ports, 80 is most common(I think) and you would normally use for regular internet browsing, but i assume bittorrent works on another port, as do P2P sharing programs, I think at least.

BitTorrent uses port 6881

Limewire uses 6346

Standard HTTP uses 80 AND 81, so if you were to block 80 it would still use 81.

Don't damage anything, or him, just login to his machine as the admin, change his account to limited, change the password on the admin account and install NetNanny, or CyberSitter. Then you can designate what he can and cannot do on the net,... no damaging anything or messing with your router either.

BT has default ports 6881-6892 .. furthermore, you can change it to anything u want
