Microphone help!

Shaking

So I got a regular headset with earphones and a microphone(Non-USB) and they all worked perfectly fine. The other day when I talked in the mic. it started to sound like there was some ringing behind me. Well today I realized that I plugged my webcam in that is also a microphone(Some stupid lego cam that came with the Steven Speilburg set) so people were hearing where the webcam(USB) was. So I unplugged the cam so I can have my normal Mic. back but it wont work now! Its like the webcam overthrew it.

Any help? Thank you so much

Do you need the Lego webcam still? If not, just uninstall it and hopefully that will restore the rightful ruler of your sound input ;).

Im not sure how to uninstall it. I just plug it in and windows automatically installs it.

Go to Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Hardware (it'll take awhile for the list to compile), and it should be listed there. Click on it once, then click on the remove hardware button, hopefully that should do the trick.
