Microsoft backports privacy-invading Windows 10 features to 7, 8

I would hardly say any of this is snooping. Yes by definition it is but most of this is more related to the security function in Windows 10. Last week I was reading on spiceworks about an IT department that had an infected email come through and took that email and placed on a separate network test environment. No matter what they did Windows 10 would not open the file.

Also I have always said if you do want anyone to track you on anything you should not use computers, phone and pay cash everywhere as even Walmart tracks you debit card transactions on every purchase.

simple matter on win7 and 8 to hide these updates.if they are already installed, uninstall them.i have pretty much disabled the "big brother" aspects of win10 and,on the whole,am happy with it.while tracking is becoming "normal"i still value my privacy and will be damned if i will stop using computers, but rather will do everything i can to insure said privacy.

Yup,I have removed those updates from my Windows 8.1 install too,I don't have anything to hide either but i just don't like that Microsoft thinks its okay to do these things..all its doing is making me want to get away from Microsoft Windows all together,Thats why i wont update to Windows 10,Sure you can disable the "spying" but its all extra work i have to do,Then you cant even turn off Automatic udates or select when you wan to install them..its forced on as far as im aware in windows 10..no thanks.

If i didn't game id have left Windows a long time ago.
