I have the following keyboard and mouse
(Microsoft MutiMedia desktop - keyboard & optical mouse) see below:

I would like to know why do my keyboard and mouse lights stay on while the computer is turned off? After a normal shutdown, you are able to operate the F-Lock, Num Lock & Caps Lock lights on & off. As I mentioned above, the laser of my mouse NEVER goes off. I want to know why?

it is still receiving power from the powersupply? old optical mouse stays on after a power off too.

No, the lights remain on even when I click the Power Supply switch at the back of my case.

Well they will stay on for several seconds when you turn the psu off or unplug it. The reason being that there is still electricity in the capacitors and is being drained. It happens with all keyboards, not just yours.
