Mid-High Level Card Setup

Hey, with all these cards out and still coming and Christmas coming up, I'm wondering what to wish for this year. I'm not sure about the 6900 series because it might be out of my price range even for single card setup. As for the 500s, are there going to be lower end cards in the 500 series? I'm interested in getting either a single or dual card setup and was looking at these:
GTX 460 SLI
GTX 470 SLI
GTX 470 Single
HD 5850 Single
HD 5850 CFX
HD 6850 CFX
HD 6870 Single
HD 6870 CFX
HD 5870 Single

Now those are a lot of choices, and some of them might not be fitting on this list. If anything, I just hope to eliminate some choices completely.
Thanks!

unless im wrong, i still think the 460 in sli is a force to be reckoned with...my single card still feels rather nice at stock speeds...not sure what it would be like clocked, but i havent had much luck with running clocked...so stock it will remain for now

bump... anything I can remove from the list completely? I'm pretty sure about getting a couple Talon Attack Hawks, but just to be sure, I'd like more opinions.

460 SLI or 6850 CFX should deliver all the performance you need for an affordable price. I'm extremely pleased with the performance of my setup. 4-5 months from now, I'm sure there will be better options.

Not sure which mobo you have but i believe the 470 still have problems with heat and you may have a problem if the cards sit next to each other in sli, so you may want to scratch that one off.
I'm planning to use the 460's in sli but i'm tempted to wait a bit to see what comes out of 5 series, hell looking at the 580 i'm thinking i may just invest in that and use one!!!!

Using a Foxconn Bloodrage, so 2 way SLI/CFX... they also are spaced apart, so there shouldn't be any problems in getting air to the cards.
