Mid or Full Tower Case -- Your Experience

I am researching as I am making a list of the components for my next build. I have only had Mid-towers and I was wondering if I should go Full with my next one. As I look at the mid range the Antec P180 and P160 seem like a good choice. Of course I have read many opinions here and at other sights that swear by such and such brand.

As I see it, a plus with the Full design is that there is more room to work with, but I am wondering if the price increase is worth it. Your thoughts and experience please. Thanks.

I haven't had any experience with full towers, but if you do not need like 10 hard drives and 8 optical drives, then I suggest going with the mid-tower. Most have plenty of room to work with, and I don't thinks it's worth more money to get more room (unless you really need it). And yes, there are bad case makers and excellent case makers. I like the Rosewill cases, they are good quality and aren't too much $$$.

It's mainly personal preference and what you're going to be using it for - if you're going to be continuously swapping and adding hardware definitely go for a bigger case. If you want to build it and never open it again (like an HTPC), a smaller case might be better.

i got a full tower, and it's extremely worthless for anything other than an end table for my joystick and headphones :)

If you are a modder, and quality whore, Lian Li cases are the best. They provide a hidden HD and PSU rack under the main metal for the mothboard, this makes hiding wires much easier, and is great for water cooling.
