Mid-Range Video card - 9800 GTX - This a good one?

I've been wrestling with which Video card to get for my i7 Build - and after weighing some suggestions on this board / and visiting TomsHardware May'09 Recommended Video card list - they suggest the 9800 GTX+ / or GeForce 250 at the 140 price point. I'd rather be at 100 or less - but for 115.00 I found an EVGA card in that category with free game.

NewEgg has this EVGA card at 115 after rebate with Free " World at War " game
with Free Shipping

The XFX in the GTX 250 category is about 20.00 more plush I pay for shipping - am I giving up that much saving the cash and going with the EVGA? Name Brand, Low Price ( 115.00) , GTX250+, Free gameAnything else I'm missing here? TomsHardware put both technologies rated as even. The XFX is also a big card - and the Antec 300 I'm looking at doesn't have a huge space to mount the MOBO.

The XFX is about 20.00 more with a faster clock speed.

Is there notable reason - that I should pass on the EVGA 9800GT+ for the XFX Geforce 250+ particular card in this category should be passed over for another in the same category. It looks like the best in category in terms of value for mid range card price.

Any opinions appreciated.

Thanks

The 9800gtx+ and the GTS250 are the same gpu, so go with whatever is cheaper, dont worry too much about clockspeed as you can overclock the card yourself with tools such as evga precision. As for the antec three hundred, there should be plenty of room for either card to fit.

I just got a GTS 250 and I must say I am very satisfied.I can play both cod4 and 5 and trackmania united at max gfx with no lag. I can play crysis demo at max at 20 fps, 10 with full AA

and yes, it is a shorter card which uses only 1 power supply connection instead of 2. The shorter card turned out to make a big difference for me because it is about |this far| away from my hard drive

Yeah, either or really shouldn't make a difference. I believe the 4850 falls right in that performance bracket too, you might be able to find one of those for cheaper if you feel so inclined.
