Might be getting a new build...

Check it out. Also, any tips to get it under $1000 would be appreciated. This is a rough build I just threw together, it needs a little tweaking.

• AMD X2 5200+
• DFI LanParty UT NF590
• eVGA 8800GTS
• Corsair XMS2 2GB
• Samsung 320GB - OEM
• Thermaltake Modular 700W
• Lian Li PC-60BPLUSII
• Lite-On LightScribe
• Lite-On DVD ROM

Comes out to $1,275.

I'm thinking that I might drop the Corsair memory for some cheaper G.Skill. I'm also looking at other motherboards cause I don't overclock too much, and I know that's where DFI boards really shine.

What are your thoughts?

um, your good on the AM2, so there is definite upgradability on this computer when AMD inevitably makes its comeback... instead of the thermaltake psu, i would really like to suggest the OCZ gamexstream 700W psu from newegg.

all in all, good build hope it doesnt blow up

Looks simalar like the one I want. My suggestions to get under a thousand:
1)Drop the DVD Rom
2)Get a cheaper mobo, like the one I have, or a simalar nForce 570
3)Cheaper ram, g.skill is good
4)Cheaper PSU, like the one I have, the Corsair would be more than enough to run that system
