Miscellaneous supplies when building a PC?

Aside from the obvious components (CPU, GPU, mobo, etc.), what are some things I should be ordering before I begin my PC build? For example, thermal paste is something I had forgotten about but luckily remembered in advance. Another possible need may be extensions to PSU connectors (although what types I need, I have no idea).

So I'm wondering if there are other little but necessary things like this that a new person might forget to buy when building. Obviously if I sat down with all my components but no thermal paste, I couldn't get too far. :)

Thanks.

cable ties :) always handy to increase airflow in the case.

what case is it? are the fans noisy? maybe replace them with more silent ones.
mouse + keyboard? not being funny! i ordered a new rig and completly forgot them!

Fans/slot blowers, cathodes/LEDs (if you want them), firewire cards (if your motherboard doesn't have headers), cable ties, fan controller.

Ha ha, yeah I forgot about them too until last night. I'm trying not to kill myself over this decisions, since these are easily replaceable at any time. :)
