my right mouse button died. What would the chances be that radio shack would carry a switch that fits? I'm not scared to take it apart as it's useless to me anyhow. If it's nto fixable I guess i have to buy a new one:(

I'll look into it.
if my soldering skill are lacking, I always have my dad who is a EE at delphi coming tonight to bring me a freezer:)

edit:
i se what you mean. you gotta have a soldering iron of microscopic proportion to solder it...Guss I'll just buy me a new one off ebay for $10 or so.

Unless it's an expensive mouse, I would just get a new one. You can find them for as low as $2.

It came with my computer that i bought froma friend 4 years ago. It came with the miscrosoft keyboard at at the time, the package cost around $80-$100. I love that mouse so much that I'm buying a new one just like it for $10 off ebay.

I don't know about having to be a master. My soldering abilities are way below par and I've done little stuff like that before... it didn't look too pretty but it worked. You just gotta get a pencil soldering iron if you wanna do small electronics. I'd recommend the Weller WM120, it's what I use.

thing is, a soldering iron like that will cost me about as much as a new mouse. I dont' feel like buying one only to end up using it 3-4 times in my life. Not at this point in my life at least.
