Missing .dll files - New member needs help please

New Member
Hi guys...and gals.
I seem to be missing a .dll file named "usuzeyesog.dll". I have NO clue what it's for and cannot seem to find out via Google search. At start-up an error msg states that the specified module could not be found. I've tried several of those online "fixes" in the past...but many/most will only fix a few files and leave all the others ....(LOTS of others it seems!) ... unless I purchase their full program. Is there a FREE fix online for missing .dll files with-out having to go through and try them one at a time...only to have them tell me that they cannot/will not fix whatever else needs fixing without purchasing their software?
This is the 1st of several problems that I'm having. I'm really hoping some of you can help. This particular post has to do with my own computer but I'll have several more ?s that has to do with my mom's computer....which is constantly being bombarded with viruses, trojans, bots and more!
I sincerely appreciate any help from the much-more-knowledgeable-than-me "puter gurus" out there.
:)
My best,
~Donna~

You are infected, please do the following. Follow instructions carefully.

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from here or here and save it to your desktop.
  • Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
  • At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to
    • Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
    • and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
  • then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version. Please keep updating until it says you have the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select Perform quick scan, then click Scan.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • A log will be saved automatically which you can access by clicking on the Logs tab within Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

If for some reason Malwarebytes will not install or run please download and run Rkill.scr, Rkill.exe, or Rkill.com but DO NOT reboot the system and then try installing or running Malwarebytes. If Rkill (which is a black box) appears and then disappears right away or you get a message saying rkill is infected, keep trying to run rkill until it over powers the infection and temporarily kills it. Once a log appears on the screen, you can try running malwarebytes or downloading other programs.

Download the HijackThis installer from here.
Run the installer and choose Install, indicating that you accept the licence agreement. The installer will place a shortcut on your desktop and launch HijackThis.

Click Do a system scan and save a logfile

Most of what HijackThis lists will be harmless or even essential, don't fix anything yet.

Post the logfile that HijackThis produces along with the Malwarebytes Anti-Malware log

Hi John. Thank you for your prompt and very thorough reply. I'm a bit confused tho. Are you saying that my own computer is infected because of the prompt/error msg of the missing .dll file?
Or does your answer refer to the problems I mentioned with my mom's computer where she is continuously getting the viruses, trojans etc?
Sorry. I'm just confused about the answer. I probably should have posted only one problem at a time to avoid any confusion on my part.
Thanks again John!

Yours has been infected. So please follow my instructions and post the logs when complete.

Well sh*t. I had no idea that *I had a virus. I'll do as you instructed...and post results as soon as I have a few extra moments to do so. It may be tomorrow as I'm working tonight but I'll post the info ASAP....and again, THANK YOU John.

Requested log for Malwarebytes

John, here's the log for MalwareBytes...per your request:
The Hijack log will be posted asap.
Sincerest thanks for your help!

P.s.

John, The Hijackthis scan said that I should
"Right click the icon and "run as administrator" if running VISTA, which I am, but that option is not available when I right click. The option IS available with the Malwarebytes but it wasn't necessary with that program. Will scan results be the same?

Unless your host file is infected the results will be the same. Usually in order to get the run as admin option to appear you must press and hold the shift key while right clicking on hijackthis.

Give me an update on how your system is running. I would like to see the results of a program I would like you to run. You will need to disable nortons real time scanning before running it.

Download and Run ComboFix
If you already have Combofix, please delete this copy and download it again as it's being updated regularly.
Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall

Combofix should never take more that 20 minutes including the reboot if malware is detected.

After the log has been produced, I need you to navigate to c:\qoobox folder and in that folder is a file named add-remove programs.txt. Please open that file and copy and paste the contents back here.
In your next reply please post:
  • The ComboFix log
  • The add-remove programs log
  • A fresh HiJackThis log
  • An update on how your computer is running

I see a few unwanted programs installed on your system so we really need to get you cleaned up.

ComboFix

Hi John, I've gone in and read all the reviews on the "Combofix" program and it seems that there are quite a few problems encountered from various users. I would feel better NOT using that one. Also, I'd be afraid to run ANY program that requires me to disable my virus program beforehand. So, is there another program that you could recommend that would give you the necessary info that you're looking for? Perhaps 'SuperAntiSpyware' or similar?
Thanks,
Donna

i've used combofix on many machines and haven't had a bad outcome from it. I really need you to run combofix for me.

Use combofix.. It doesn't have the nice user interface but it also isn't nice to computer problems. disable the antivirus. Having more than one antivirus at a time only hinder's your performance

So here's the thing those programs that tell you you have to pay to get the virus off give you the viruses in the first place.. If what he did worked the virus is removed. now you should continue by starting windows in safe mode (as soon as the pc starts up and your keyboard turns on hit "f8" to interrupt win start up) then you should choose safemode with command promp) when windows starts up you will see a command promp window. (type in "chkdsk/f". there will already be c:\(users)(you username):This will tell windows that I want you to review all of your files and repair what is not right. It may ask you to put in your windows disk. do that if you areasked
