missing files

Hi, my computer has just displayed the message on boot up of "BOOTMGR IS MISSING ,ENTER CTRL/ ALT/DELETE TO RESTART which i do but the message is repeated over and over , i cannot get the message " CLICK DEL FOR SETUP OR F12 FOR BOOT ORDER so cannot use my external dvd to reinstall windows 7, hope someone can help thank you ...heidi:mad:

Go in the BIOS (usually it's the F2 or DEL key,but not always (depends on your BIOS edition/version)) and keep pressing that keyboard key all until you are not in the BIOS and then find the BOOT SEQUENCE section and put your CD/DVD-ROM disk drive as the first device to boot from.After that save all changes to CMOS and EXIT the BIOS.System will restart automatically and then your Windows disk will boot.

NOTE: Be sure that your CD/DVD-ROM disk drive works properly and that the Windows disk is not damaged and that it is bootable (in the case if it's not the original).
