Missing HDD space

About 100 gigs of space on my HDD is missing. Is there any way i can see what some of the last things that were added to the HDD to see what is taking up this space?
 
How do you know you are missing 100gb of space? If its a new drive just formatted and windows installed then the drive will be short about 100gb due to formatting itself. Go to drive properties and see what the numbers say for used space, free space, and total capacity and post back.

100gb out of? What OS are you using? XP has a cap on it until u dl SP2 or 3. U also lose a little from the beginning b/c its not exactly what its advertised at.
 
I have a TB, i already know about the formatting space thing. So i had like 930 GB when i first got it. yesterday i downloaded a movie and the F.E.A.R. 2 demo and it went from like 700GB to 600GB and i know both of those things are not that big. So now im trying to find out wtf is going on and where did all that space go.

Im using windows 7 but that doesn't have anything to do with my problem i'm sure.

I've just searched all my files, i hit properties and some may say 3 gigs here 100 mb there, But when i look at the overall HDD properties so much space is missing and i dont know where it went.
