I just recently formated my computer by doing the fallowing: UBCD > File system tools > Free Fdisk > Delete partition > create new primary dos partition.
Ok, if I reformated my computer wrong, then someone correct me, but other than that, I'll continue with my main problem..
I want to install XP professional on my old computer, but when I try to boot the 6 disk floppys, it continually says "Missing NTDLR Press CTRL + ALT + DEL to restart" . Instead of doing anything in the setup menu, I just pressed ESC a few times and thats when I tried Booting from the floppy drive. Same thing happened. I'm pretty sure that when I changed the boot priorities in the Setup menu, it would just say "Error loading OS" after I restarted. I have UBCD and when I try to use some of the many programs, all it does is give me a command promt and it won't load some of the programs. The only program that got me close to installing XP pro, was Madboot. But that came up with even more errors like "not enough memory, press enter to restart" and some other ones that ordered me to press enter to restart.
This is a relativly new computer that I got for a cheap price.
AMD 2700+
120 gig hd
512 pc2700 ram
intergrated Geforce 4 mx 64mb
floppy + cd writer + cd rom drives.
This is driving me insane.
