Mobile Phone applications

I heard Nokia announced there new app store today, what do people think of this new trend of mobile apps?

The iPhone ones look cool but not sure how often i would use them.
 
If you have an iPhone or touch you live off mobile apps, not sure about other phones, but I use apps on my iPhone every day.
 
Just out of interest what types of app do you use reguarly? I must admit I have had an envious look at the iphone apps but i'm not sure what i would use more than once or twice.
 
Well besides games, some of the apps I use most often are Facebook, PowerSearch, AccuWeather, FML, eBay, Shazam, SpeedTest, and a few others.
 
I think the best thing about nokia is that they have a large collection of Applications as compared to the Apple products. You can find them in sites such as www.crazy4mobiles.com or www.mobile9.com
the best thing about nokia apps are, most of them are free. i assume you have to pay for all apple apps/ palm apps.
