MOBO and Memory trouble?

Hi all,

The parts for my computer should be coming in tomorrow. I was reading around and found out that my MOBO initially has trouble with 1600 memory. I have never put together a computer and am wondering what other troubles I might come across when first turning it on and how to fix them. Here are the specs:

MOBO

So how do I go around fixing the MOBO/Memory problem? Will there be any other problems with the other components?

Specs say you can overclock 1333 to 1600, but might not support the memory you bought.
If it won't boot sell that ripjaw crap on craigslist and get 4gb of adata or corsair for a few bucks more, you'll thank yourself!

Because it is 1600MHz OC, it will usually mean with 1600MHz memory, or memory running @ 1600MHz, you can only have 1 pair (2 DIMM slots) populated.

The Ripjaw's aren't crap, they are some of the best value for money memory going. Granted, there is better, however the Corsair ones aren't exactly mindblowingly better, same goes for adata

Sorry to Ripjaw fans for the comment, but RAM is the worst place to skimp. I've pulled burnt ripjaws out of guys boxes that burnt out for no good reason.

The benchmarks and performance are ok, but reliability AData Gaming or Corsair (OCZ if you're gonna spend the dough) is where i'd go

RAM is most certainly NOT the worst place to skimp, the power supply is, and that is a hard fact. You can live without memory that isn't quite up to scratch, but you get a power supply that isn't, and your system isn't working, or is getting broken thanks to the crap PSU that just blew.

I've had Corsair and OCZ both die on me or be defective from purchase, so no, they aren't as good as you are making out, and by no means are the Ripjaws as bad as you are making out, I've put them in several systems and not had a problem, or had people calling me to say their computers aren't working and it be the ripjaw's that are the issue

The memory will be @ 1333MHz most probably, but you just have to bump the memory clocks up to the right speeds and sometimes the timings and it is fine and stable, don't have to do anything else
 
The board and memory will be fine. The board will just boot the memory to JEDEC standards at 1333. You just have to go into the bios and set it to 800/1600 at 9-9-9-24 with 1.5V/1.6V. And GSkill memory is just fine. Alot better then A-data, some of the cheapest memory made.
