if so, is it compatible with this hdd (Maxtor DiamondMax 10 6V300F0 300GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s) ?

and one more thing, what other hdd interfaces will work with this mobo?

IDE or SATA. SCSI would require a seperate controller card.
