i have a Pegatron M2N78-LA + AMD athlon x3 II 440 + 4gb ram (came with a HP computer that i bought 2+ years ago)
and i bought this off ebay to replace them http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/221212681262
but after buying it i read up on the windows 7 install on the new mobo, and i realised that i had a OEM copy of windows 7 that came with the HP computer,
i dont have the money to buy a new copy of windows either, as i spent all the money i could afford on the new parts, is there any possible way to bypass this and use the OEM copy on my new mobo?

Actually yes but illegal as Laquer stated, MS will deactivate you copy if you do it. Just put Linux Mint or Ubuntu on it and save for a new copy of windows.

If it came with the HP computer it probably won't even activate anyway, so there's no point trying really. It will probably only activate if it's installed on an HP machine.

Yes you can make it work.

MS only cares that this is on ONE computer.

If you call them on their number, and answer the questions accurately they will unlock the key. Completely legit. Once you try and install it will say no. Then offer you a toll free number to call and speak to a computer..

Essentially,

Do you own our product?
Is this the computer that your key is linked too?
Is this the only computer this key is linked too?
Ok. Here is your code.

Answer accurately and truthfully via touch pad options and they will give you the code.

Nothing illegal about that.

It's an OEM HP copy.

Right in the user agreement/OEM rules it specifies only for use with accompanied hardware..

I guarantee that MS isnt gonna just activate it for you cause you want to avoid paying for a legit copy.

Done it over 100 times. It works. OEM isn't a legal issue, its contractual. Therefore if you ensure that you answer accurately and honestly, there is NO problem in doing it.

Very old news, been done over many years.

For repairs/upgrades they'll let you get by. I've done it and I just go activate it.

It was accepted. :)
