This may sound like a stupid question but is there anyway to find out what mobo im running and what graphics card slots i have. This may sound extremely stupid as i did build my own computer but being a typical teenager it was a chaep part and i threw away any details i have? DUH!

Thanks in Advance Chris

pci slot most likely. i haven't seen too many boards that have both agp and pci-e (they're out there though.)

You most likely have PCI and AGP slots. It is highly unlikely that you have both AGP and PCI-e slots...

Thank you all very much for your help i believe it is a PCI slot what do you believe is better PCI or AGP thanks in advance
CHRIS

PCIx16>AGP>PCI

PCI is moslt used for things such as sound cards or the Physx cards although u could get a graphics card for PCI but i wouldnt recommend it. so if you want a new gpu then youll want an AGP one.

AGP/PCI-E slots are used for the high bandwidth cards, like Video-cards, PCI slots are used for other things, like sound cards, tv tuners, video capture cards, usb expansion slots, etc.

There is no better/worse when comparing AGP/PCI-E to PCI, you need both.
